How to Read a Trader Profile on Catchnex (And What Each Metric Means)

By Catchnex Editorial Team

Before you copy any trader, you should understand what you're looking at. Catchnex displays real performance data on every trader profile — here's how to read it.

Total Profit

This is the headline number: the cumulative dollar profit the trader has generated across all closed trades. We lead with this metric because it reflects actual money made, not a percentage that can be inflated by small deposits.

A trader with $50,000 Total Profit has made real money for real accounts. That matters.

ROI (Return on Investment)

ROI shows the percentage return relative to the capital deployed. On Catchnex, this is calculated using real deposited capital only — credit and bonuses are excluded from the denominator, so the number is honest.

A 40% ROI means the strategy has returned 40% on actual invested funds.

Win Rate

Win rate is the percentage of trades that closed in profit. A 60% win rate means 6 out of every 10 trades were profitable.

High win rate alone doesn't mean much — a trader could win 70% of trades but lose heavily on the 30% that go wrong. Always look at win rate alongside Total Profit and Max Drawdown together.

Max Drawdown

This is the largest peak-to-trough loss the strategy experienced. A -5% max drawdown means the worst losing streak reduced the account by 5% from its highest point.

Lower drawdown = smoother ride. High drawdown strategies can still be profitable, but they require stronger nerves and more capital buffer.

Stability Score

Catchnex calculates a Stability Score (out of 10) based on the consistency of returns over time. A score of 7+ indicates a trader whose equity curve is relatively smooth, without extreme volatility.

Followers and Capacity

Each master has a follower limit (e.g. 65/500). This shows current followers vs. maximum capacity. A nearly full master is popular — but always verify the recency of their performance, not just the crowd.

How to use this data

The best approach: filter by Total Profit to find proven traders, then check Max Drawdown to assess risk, then review the Performance Chart to see if recent results match historical ones.
